World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
The feature of upgrading items lets players upgrade their equipment. This can be done at any item upgrader NPC.
Generally upgrades increase an items main stats and provide extras depending on the item type. Examples include Whistan's shield for FB sorcs, or Goldwrap for caster builds.
Armour
Link's armor is a key element in keeping him safe from harm. While it cannot be upgraded like weapons, it can still be improved in a variety of ways to improve its defence capabilities.
Armour is designed to shield animals or people from injury or harm, whether it's from a direct physical attack or from a variety of environmental or activity hazards. Historically, the majority of armour was made of fabric or leather, but metal protections were also used particularly for military purposes like heavy cavalry and combat drones.
As with weapons, there are a number of ways that armour can be upgraded, but most will require visiting one of the four Great Fairy Fountains located throughout Hyrule. item upgrades comes with its own level of upgrades and more will provide higher levels of protection, but require a higher price in rupees and the materials needed to unlock.
First, Armor Upgrades are permanent upgrades. Once they've been put in place and removed, they cannot be reverted until you own a different piece of gear with the same upgrade. It is crucial to only apply the most effective level of upgrades to your equipment and ensure that you have the required materials to complete the upgrade.
In terms of acquiring the required upgrade components, you'll find them in various locations around Hyrule including merchants, shrines as well as enemies. These will generally be marked with a gold circle or a blue triangle symbol, and are available in large numbers as you progress through the game. They could appear randomly, but there is a chance that obtaining certain upgrades can trigger a quest that will reward you with even more.
It is important to remember that, even though the level provided by each upgrade may differ however, it will always be more than nothing. A complete set of upgraded armor will give you a powerful defense boost that can protect you from all types of attacks, except magic. This makes it an effective weapon for all classes.
Weapons
If you'd like to make your guns truly distinctive, you can upgrade them with a variety of special upgrades. They can increase the damage, alter the weapon's stats so that they are suited to your build and even unlock new attachments, such as unique ammo types, enchantments, and aesthetic options.
To upgrade a weapon you'll need an upgrade component available as well as the item itself. The weapon must be at a certain level for the upgrade to be effective and the majority of weapons can only take one upgrade at one time.
Weapon upgrade components are available all over the world from a variety of sources, including merchants or enemies. The upgrade components themselves are made up of ingredients that can be slotted into weapons, armor trinkets, trinkets, or gathering tools to provide an attribute bonus or additional effect while they're in use. The equipment must be a certain level to accept the upgrade. It is able to be upgraded in the same way as other items.
The upgrades themselves are a mixture of Smithing Stones and Runes, and they are used for enhancing the stats of a base weapon, and also to increase its scalability with other stats. These upgrades can be obtained from enemies in the open or from merchants. They are also dropped through combat.
There are two NPCs that can upgrade your weapons: the Blacksmith Hewg in the Roundtable Hold hub area and the Smithing Master Iji in the Road to the Manor hub area. Both of these NPCs accept your Smithing Stones or Runes to upgrade your weapon.
It's important to prioritize upgrading your most-used items first, and then those you won't be replacing in the near future. If you're playing in a melee-based build, for example upgrade your weapon first, then your chest and shoulders, then your feet and hands. The same principle goes for Magic and Utility Items, with the caveat that some procs may be better than others, based on your style of play. The same is true for Armour Reforges, with certain types being superior to others.
Magic Items
A character can only upgrade one magic item at one time. If an upgrade plan has been cancelled, no more upgrades will be planned for that item. Magic items that are upgraded cost double the amount of gold it would cost to create or buy however they may provide additional advantages.
A magical item could be any item with special properties or effects. Most of these items are weapons, however some include armor, shields, cloaks, potions, rings, scrolls and other objects. Some of these items may be made to speak.
Most magical items can be upgraded to be infused with additional abilities. This makes them more useful for players, or can help them overcome a particularly challenging encounter. Infused weapons can offer bonuses to damage against a particular enemy type, for example. This is especially useful for characters who have reached a point at which they'll likely encounter the same kind of monster in dungeons repeatedly.

A ring that is infused can grant the ability to resist piercing, bludgeoning or slashing injuries from non-magical attacks (not even silvered ones) until the next time the character takes a long rest. This is particularly beneficial for melee fighters or any other character who would like to avoid the expense and hassle of buying shields.
Some enchanted objects have special powers that allow the character to cast spells that are not on their class list. This is useful for a character who has difficulties filling their spell slots because of multiclassing. These enchanted items typically require an Intelligence (Arcana) check to use them, and the spell is determined by rolling a table that is based on the number Intelligence points expended.
Other items that are enchanted can let the user change their appearance, or even create an entirely new appearance. These are particularly beneficial for those who have had to leave their home, or are in a situation where they may not be welcome. A magical item could provide them with an invisibility effect, or make them invisible to anyone but a select few.
Utility Items
Utility items are products that do not fit into the categories of clothing, armor or Weapons and offer a range of different capabilities. Unlike Armor and Weapons, no one utility item is able to be in conflict with another. Most utility items provide an effect that the player can activate by using them, but some also have additional capabilities that activate when the user presses an action button or activates an ability.
The Flashlight is the most popular utility item. It lights up the surrounding area. Other useful items include the Helicopter Cap and Rocket Boots which allow the player float in mid-air while moving and the Jetpack that allows the player to accelerate in any directions while on the ground. In the Engineering section you can instantly produce several utility items, while others are unlocked by research projects or experimental projects on the Proving Ground.
In addition to the items that are available in the standard inventory, players can also unlock additional powerful utility items by purchasing them from the Atomic Shop and also from seasonal Scoreboard rewards (such as the Shadow Goggles). Some of these items can be upgraded to allow more effective use.
The majority of utility items provide the player with an advantage in navigation or boost a specific combat ability. Sharpening stones, created by an Weaponsmith can boost power and Ferocity, while Maintenance Oils, crafted by a Huntsman, increase Concentration and healing power. Other utility items such as Writs or Theses crafted by the Scribe can be used to give the player an increase in Damage or Condition Damage.
All XCOM soldiers can equip a utilitarian item at the start of the campaign. Later, an additional slot is made available by acquiring certain types of armor or completing engineering, research or experimental projects in the Proving Ground. During the Alien Hunters downloadable content, additional slots are available by equipping the Grenade Launcher. This enables players to make use of the Smoke Grenade or Bomb while an offensive grenade remains in the main slot.
